Cultural Competence Statement: At ACT, cultural competence is foundational to how we educate, create, and serve. We embrace and respect the unique cultural identities, values, and lived experiences of our students, teaching artists, and team members. By fostering environments of mutual understanding and respect, we empower individuals from all walks of life—regardless of age, race, ethnicity, gender identity, socioeconomic background, faith, ability, or learning style—to thrive. Our commitment is to ensure that every person is met with the opportunity, tools, and support to reach their fullest potential in a culturally responsive and inclusive community.

Accessibility: ACT is committed to ensuring equitable access for people with disabilities or physically challenged. We continue to evaluate and improve all of our students, teaching artists, employees, and visitors' experience and apply relevant accessibility standards.

Tutoring and Mentorship: In an effort to ensure that no students are left to the margins of society, the ACT is committed to providing academic tutoring and mentorship before and after school. Given the poor postsecondary trajectories of underprivileged youth and the barriers they encounter within their immediate contexts, mentoring has emerged as a mechanism for addressing barriers. The prominence of and need for mentoring has increased as opportunities for authentic interactions with adults in out-of-school activities such as sports, the arts, theatre, and various clubs have decreased (Ashtiani & Feliciano, 2018; Raposa et al., 2018).
